Akmonlink College: A Brief History
Founded in 2019 in Sheger City, Laga Tafo Subcity, Akmonlink College began with a single program and a team of 10 employees. Established by Assistant Professor Teshale Getu and his wife, Aynalem File, the college was built on a vision of excellence and growth. The name "Akmon" symbolizes a milestone or concrete foundation and is also inspired by their children: Akekan, Monan, Naga, and Olit.
Over the years, the college expanded its operations to Furi Subcity, and today, it offers more than 16 diverse programs ranging from TVET to master's degrees. The institution has grown significantly, with over 100 employees. In addition to the college, three sister organizations Akmon Academy, Akmon Consulting PLC, and Akmon Initiative for Development—form part of the Akmon Group, contributing to educational and community development.
